Severe Duty Electric Motors

MK Plasma, LLC offers a variety of components for the industrial equipment and machinery. Severe-duty three-phase IEC metric AC motors are for use in dusty, dirty, nonhazardous environments in petrochemical, pulp, paper, and steel processing applications. They have shaft seals, gasketed conduit box, breather/drains, and sealed ball bearings for moisture protection. Motors have a corrosion-resistant finish and a stainless steel nameplate. They are three-phase and don't require starting capacitors, run capacitors, or centrifugal starting switches that can wear out and fail. Models having a totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure include an external, nonsparking fan in a protective shroud to blow cooling air over the motor.
